| As mentioned on the discussion the trailer of the show, the hangag happens at about 10 seconds before the end off the show. Might be worth to keep an eye on for any dutch viewers. |

| Record number: 1755 Title: Ghost Catchers (1944) Medium: Movie Actress: Gloria Jean, Martha O'Driscoll Description: The first scene takes place early on. Beautiful blonde Susanna (O'Driscoll), dashes out of the haunted house and into what she thinks is a neighboring house to seek help. She is dressed in a long white nightgown. Caught in a spotlight amid surrounding total darkness, a hand is suddenly clamped over her mouth and, despite her struggling, she is strapped into a mock up of an electric chair complete with metal bowl on top of her blonde head. She is over the mouth gagged with what appears to be a wide loop of white elasticated material. As she continues to struggle, a "Dance of Death" takes place in another spotlighted space in front of her! Suddenly all the house lights come on to reveal that she centre stage in a nightclub cabaret performance, the whole cast of which proceed to march around her singing, "Three cheers for the customer! The customer is always right!" When she is finally released she tears off her gag and berates them all, prior to being dropped through a trap door which dumps her out into the street. Astonishing scene! Prolonged, about five minutes, well lit and with stunning facial close-up and reaction shots from a variety of angles. The second scene takes place nearer to the end. Susanna's dark haired sister Melinda (Jean) is captured by the baddies. She is seen seated on a box being bricked up inside a cellar alcove. Dressed in a period skirt and matching jacket. She is bound with thick rope and gagged with very wide white tape which stretches from ear to ear, and goes under her hair. Initially one and then three guys are bound with her. She succeeds in freeing herself and tearing off her gag. Of reasonable duration and well enough lit for our purposes, with decent close-ups and varied angle shots. |
