| I remember a bit on the original Gong Show In the 70’s that involved a villain in a cape and top hat bringing a damsel in distress on to the stage and tying her to a cardboard tree and threatening her with something. The imperilments were silly, like a roller derby skater headed towards her, but I was very excited as a kid just to watch the dastardly villain tie the frightened damsel to the tree. They did this bit a few times and I think the villain was called Larry the evil villain. I’d live to see it again but can’t find it. I watched some episodes on YouTube but it’s not in them. Does anyone remember this bit and know where they can be seen? |

Definitely one of the best sealed gags ever, looks like the tape was painted on her lips. Just don't ask Needham about the scene. Someone here years ago tried to get her to autograph the photo and she threatened to call the cops. She always seemed like an actress with a bad attitude to me anyways, but she rocked that gag. Of course, she quit the show after Season 1 and then it ran 10 more years with Catherine Bell. Was surprised to see she's only 53 today, been out of the business for 10 years. So she was only 28, 29 in this scene. |
