| Record number: 14650 Title: Being Human (2008) Medium: TV Series Actress: Charlene McKenna Description: Episode: "The Looking Glass" (2.05) Original UK version of this supernatural series. In a 1960s-style flashback we see our vampire hero on the run and holding a cute brunette Josie (McKenna) hostage in her flat. At 16-17mins, he ties her to some shelves using a brown scarf to bind her hands behind her back and the side of the shelf, but leaves her feet unbound. We get one nice full-body view of her standing taut against the shelves, with the rest being close-ups of her face fraught with apprehension. Their long dialogue continues at 18-20mins, after which the sequence ends with him deciding to keep her quiet. He cleave gags her with a thin red/white striped scarf (for which she obediently opens her mouth), tightly wrapping the ends twice around and between her lips, then knotting it behind her head. One gorgeous close-up of this being done onscreen, with McKenna's sparkling blue eyes looking particularly dreamy as she gazes into space. When next shown, at 24mins, she manages to escape by slipping her hands from the scarf, then pauses to untie the gag (with some effort). She sneaks around the apartment looking for a way out, but does not make it far. Having been recaptured, at 27mins, she is made to sit on the edge of a bed; her hands are tied in front to a bedpost with yet another scarf. No gag this time. More dialogue until 29mins, with the scene ending abruptly at 47mins without any release shown. She is revealed to be fine at 51mins, when she meets up with the hero again (socially this time). All times based on the Blu-ray edition. Josie wears a very short red floral print minidress (lots of leg on show) and grey platform heels. - Thanks in advance! |

| Title: Ojciec Mateusz Medium: TV Series Actress: Paulina Chapko Description: Episode: "Zakładniczka" (1.130) aka "Hostage" Polish version of the Italian series Don Matteo, with a clergyman who helps fight crime in his parish. In this episode, someone notices intruders in the church at night. Police officer Karolina (Chapko), a cute blonde and series regular, enters the church without backup, encounters a group of thieves and gets overpowered. With more police outside, the bad guys can't make a run for it. Next time we see Karolina, she has been tied with rope, hands behind and fastened to a chair back, and blindfolded with a scarf (the one the head villainess was wearing around her neck before), so that the four thieves can remove their balaclavas. After sunrise, there are some more scenes with Chapko. About 15 minutes in, during a phone conversation with police forces outside, the villainess lets Karolina say a few words over the phone as proof of life, and slaps the damsel, who said something her captors didn't approve of. Blindfold comes off after 20 minutes when the irascible villainess pushes over Karolina's chair, and is not replaced. About 30 minutes in, Karolina manages to untie herself, but is grabbed again before she achieves anything, and once more has her hands tied behind her, no longer fastened to the chair. Police manage to arrest the thieves when they leave the church with their hostage, and free the damsel. Karolina is wearing a dark standard cop uniform very similar to those in many other countries.
