The show changed the female lead many times, but all of them found themselves bound and gagged at least once or twice, and the secondary characters weren't safe as well. Our cop lady here just so happens to find herself in so many scenes not only because she's a cop, hence she has a good excuse to put her in trouble, but also she's one of the few actors and characters who's been in the series basically since the beginning. She simply had more opportunities to fall into the hands of the writers |
