The first scene begins at about the 15 minute mark with the damsel (Hanson) sitting in a chair, her arms are tied to the chair arms and a single piece of rope around her chest; above the breasts and below the neck. She has leaches attached to her face as a medical treatment. She is wearing a 3/4 length sleeve blouse and a long skirt although you don't see her legs in this scene. The scene showing the bondage is rather short and most of the scene focuses on her face and the removal of the leaches. She is not gagged and there is conversation with the damsel. The second scene is much better. The same damsel (Hanson) as before, this time she is standing with her hands tied over head; with rope tied around her thumbs being the device holding her arms up. She is wearing the same 3/4 length sleeve blouse and the same ankle length skirt. The camera work is magnificent in the scene with lots of good angles. There is one spectacular shot of her bare feet; she is standing on her tip toes. A man is going to attach leaches to her again, but the leaches are avoided when the damsel decides to divulge information. She flails her arms and screams. It's a good scene, but those who must see skin will be disappointed in this scene. She is not gagged. Also, those who are more observant will realize that the damsel could escape by simply untying the rope from her thumbs. The scene is still played very well regardless. The third scene involves Mr. Sardonicus' wife (Dalton) who is sitting in a stone chair. She has manacles attaching her wrists to the chair arms, and a single piece of rope across her neck holding her head very loosely against the chair back. She is wearing a long sleeve dress with a full skirt. Once again, no skin is visible. There is a guy in this scene and I believe he gets more screen time than the damsel. Both the damsel and the guy get released unharmed. Its a short scene. The damsel is not gagged. There is a nice shot of her screaming as she is menaced with a knife, but no harm befalls the damsel. |

Record number: 13307 Title: Funny Games (2008) Medium: Movie Actress: Naomi Watts Description: This shot-for-shot remake of a dark German movie (and since it is a shot-for-shot remake, shouldn't the database entry be (almost) word-for-word?) begins as a quaint family trip to the country. Once settled in, however, that knock at the cottage door turns out to be much more than it initially seemed. The home is soon taken over by two sadistic 'punks', and Naomi Watts' first scene begins with her being led into the livingroom, wrists bound behind her with brown cellophane packing tape. Psycho #1 then forces her onto the sofa, and tapes up her ankles as well (she is not, at this point, gagged). In an escape attempt a few minutes later, we see her rise from the sofa and vigorously hop across the room to her injured husband (who is not bound). He unsuccessfully attempts to rip the tape from her wrists with his fingers, and then resorts to gnawing at the tape with his teeth. To no avail, however, as Psycho #2 inconveniently comes back into the room. Later, the bad-guys having said their 'adieus' and left, there are a few other momentary scenes of Watts hopping around until she finally frees herself. At 1:30, and in the first of two great scenes in the movie: having had no phone at the vacation cottage we see her attempting to flag down a car for help on a country road, while her injured husband stays back at the cottage, waiting for her to return with the police. Seems it must've been JUST the wrong car to try to attract attention from, because we then cut to Watts being led back into the cottage by the bad guys, to her husband's shock, bound with rope and THOROUGHLY gagged. In stringent and ingenious bondage, seldom seem in mainstream movies or tv, her wrists are bound with rope in front of her, and held tightly to her crotch. We are then treated to over a full minute of close-up of Watts' incredible gag, as she sits almost motionless on the sofa trying to deal with cloth-packing of immense proportions, distending her cheeks/mouth to the point of being almost a caricature (the single piece of rope 'holding' the cloth in her mouth seems superfluous). There is then some wonderful 'acting' (?) by Watts as the camera stays on her while alternately choking/gagging and attempting to breathe through the monstrous gag (a teardrop even forming at the corner of her eye). We get to see exactly whats inside her mouth when the bad-guys decide that she would be much more fun to play with if she werent indeed gagged: one of them pulls her forward on the sofa (the expression on her face from the tightening noose around her neck when he does this seems almost real), and then cuts the rope running up her back, connecting her wrists to the noose. Wrists still bound, she hurriedly reaches up and pulls the single piece of rope from around her mouth, then makes quite a production out of pulling the HUGE piece of cloth from her own mouth, allowing her to again breathe freely. The other great scene is when we see a long-shot of the bad-guys leading our heroine down to a boat dock. She is attired in a yellow rain-slicker as they lead her onto a sailboat, and we see then that she is again incredibly well-gagged. This time with the aforementioned brown cellophane packing tape wrapped completely around her head, multiple times, completely covering her lower face and chin. No real indication of what might be inside her mouth, but we do plainly see that her cheeks are bulging above the tape. We then also become aware that she is bound in much the same manner as she was before, wrists with rope in front, crotchrope underneath and up to her neck (although the noose is not nearly as tight this time). Psycho #2 unties the noose arrangement so that he can then sit her on the floor of the boat. He binds her ankles, and then then wrists-to-ankles in front. It seems the inference is that Watts is gagged almost to the point of choking again, as there is no sound coming from her, and she is seen sitting on the floor of the boat and blinking her eyes at times quite rapidly, as if trying to keep from choking. Several more excellent close-ups of Watts' gagged face, and there is one more attempt at escape as the bad-guys take her out for a jaunt on the lake *** Spoiler/Warning: Be advised, there are several disturbing scenes in this flick, none of the family meets a good end, including a somewhat grisly ending for Watts herself *** I think this one is a little better lit than the original, and Watts is much better looking hopping around in her underwear. |

A soldier attempts to molest her, but is chased away by the boss. Moments later, she's rescued. Her rescuer cuts her down from the tent pole she's secured to, but her hands are still tied. He then picks her up and does an over-the-shoulder carry out to a waiting truck. Her butt is pretty much exposed during the carry. He dumps her in the back of the truck and that's the end of the scene. No other scenes involving women in this movie. |

Later, she is seen dangling from her chained wrists above a volcanic pit; she is tied back-to-back with Rocky (another former Ranger). Their legs are left free and there are no gags; Kimberly is able to trade retorts with the villainess Divatox, who is planning to sacrifice her to the local monster-god. Not much in the way of struggling, but plenty of concerned looks at the lava below. The current team of Rangers rush in to save their friends, but it's too late: they are lowered into the pool! Suddenly, the two reappear on the lip of the crater. Kim whips her head around to face the camera, her eyes glowing red with demonic possession. She smirks, and snaps the chains binding her wrists. During the next several minutes, she whips the tar out of her former teammates, all the while speaking in an "Exorcist"-like voice and spouting such lines as "Evil is as Evil does." The other Rangers eventually snap her out of the spell, and combine their Turbo Zord vehicles into a giant robot to combat the volcanic monster, thus making the world safe for kids in spandex. |

Now weighted down by a concrete block, Nelson dumps her overboard. He grabs her hair though and pulls her gasping to the surface -- to inquire about what she's feeling. After receiving an earful of invective, he releases her, to ye olde watery grave. Next we see Judd Nelson visit his "garden" full of drowned women floating, chained to blocks of concrete, amid acres of kelp. Towards the middle of the movie Heddy Burress is kidnapped by Nelson. Although she is terrified of the water, she allows Nelson to lead her blindfolded and bound to a canoe, because he has agreed to 'release her' and he paddles to the middle of the lake. Once there, he binds her ankles to a concrete block and drops her overboard. Unlike his other victims, she manages to escape. Towards the end of the movie, there's another scene featuring Hedy Burress & Susan Gibney with their hands tied behind their backs & their mouths gagged with black tape. They're tethered to each others ankles by some kind of chain. They're dragged along a dock & onto a boat. After a few shots their gags are removed by Judd Nelson. (It should be noted for those who like stocking feet bondage, that before she is being lead to the boat, Susan Gibney's shoes have been removed. There are a couple of shots of her stocking feet while being led to the boat and as her ankles are being bound to the cement weight.) -- Warning: There are many corpses in this movie and it has a strange feel to it. |

Her hands are tied behind back. In between the two suspension scenes listed, at least on the "unrated" dvd (I didn't see the movie in theatrical release, if it had one): A flashback shows how Lucy became a vampire. A reporter, she is sprayed in the face with something like pepper spray while investigating a cult and is knocked out. She comes to briefly in the back seat of a car being driven by her assailant, then blacks out again. They arrive at a mansion and she is pulled out of the car and marched into the house. During all of this her hands are behind her back, presumably bound. She's pushed into a chair to wait. Later her hands are freed, but she's soon killed and drained by the head vampire and his female friend. Later, as a vampire, Lucy is arrested in a bar by a cop. He cuffs her hands behind her back and puts her in the back of his car. She slides her rump back between her wrists and pulls her legs through to get her hands in front, then puts a chokehold on the detective to make him release her. He then shoots her when she walks away. The fact that she doesn't die convinces him that her crazy story is true and he offers to remove the bullet. When he does so in a hotel room she passes out from the pain. She wakes up to find herself handcuffed aoh to the headboard. He gives her a drink of water when she asks for it and then releases her to use the restroom but cuffs her hands in front. When she finishes he has to help her pull up and fasten her jeans. Then she lies down on the bed with her hands still cuffed in front. Later released |

She touches her own knife, failing the test, and later is carted to the scaffold and mounts it with her hands tied behind her back, but they are untied when Quasimodo (Charles Laughton) swings down from above in the famous rescue scene. |
