Title: Las Vegas
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Vanessa Marcil

Description: Episode: "Heroes" (4.17)

This episode of "Las Vegas", the conclusion of a two-part season finale, has one of the best bondage scenes in the history of television, ranking up there with the "Lost Women" episode of "Vega$". Vanessa Marcil, the gorgeous petite brunette, spends amlost the entire episode bound and gagged. She has been kidnapped by a deranged rich man, incapacitated by a sedative in her drink and bound and gagged in a trunk.

To begin with, the scenes in which Ms. Marcil is bound and gagged in the trunk are lit just perfectly by a skilled lighting technician. Despite the crepuscular conditions, visibility is more than adequate, and Ms. Marcil's gag, the strip of duct tape, is perfectly visible. We owe a debt of gratitude to the lighting technician for the series; the man or woman really knows his or her job, and our enjoyment of the episode was enhanced because of this.

Secondly, the keyhole in the trunk is used to great effect; Ms. Marcil peers out of it frequently to see who or what was outside, and the light through the keyhole illuminates her gagged mouth very seductively. Potential rescuers are frequently just outside the trunk, but she is unable to alert them to her predicament, since she is gagged. The scene near the end of the episode when she sees her friend and potential rescuer, the security guy, walking just a few feet away, and attempts to alert him by screaming ineffectually through her gag, is priceless. The dastardly villain has done too good a job of gagging her; she can only manage some barely audible whimpers.

Her energetic struggling and attempts to make noises through her gag are especially enjoyable. She manages to unlock the trunk through energetic jostling, and wriggles out. The manner in which she's bound is original; her hands are tied in front of her with duct tape, but her wrists and forearms are secured to her thighs; this resembles a form of hogtie. I've never seen any actress bound in this manner.

Ms. Marcil manages to remove her gag by rubbing it against the coarse carpeting, make her way over to a telephone, knock it down to the floor, and attempt to make a call, only to have the villain walk in at that precise, inopportune moment. He rushes over to her, ends the call, and then engages in snappy repartee with Ms. Marcil; some of the dialogue is the obligatory admonition "You'll never get away with it."

Housekeeping then knocks on the door; the villain immediately applies a forceful handgag, and tells the dedicated housekeeping staff to return later. Ms. Marcil proceeds to scream as loudly as she can through the hand clamped over her mouth. The villain then gags Ms. Marcil with another strip of duct tape over her mouth.

Ms. Marcil spends nearly the entire episode bound and gagged; this has to be one of the best scenes featuring a bound and gagged actress in the history of television. One advantage for Ms. Marcil is that she certainly didn't have much dialogue to memorize for this episode; most of her lines are, "Mmmmph! Mmmmmph!".

Title: Seven Days aka 7 Days
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Justina Vail

Description: Episode: "Two Weddings and a Funeral" (2.5)

24 minutes in without commercials, Olga is seen tied to a chair and gagged with a black cloth. Wrists are tied together behind her back or to the sides of the chair, you can't really see. Evil Olga pulls her gag off after a short time. There are a bunch of scenes in a row, with Frank doing the backstep thing in between. Olga looks upset while evil Olga menaces her with a broken vodka bottle.

A bit later (42 minutes with commercials), Olga is seen tied to a bed, he wrists tied together to the headboard with what appears to be telephone cord.

A couple minutes later ( with commercials), Frank is seen rescuing Olga who is tied to a chair like in the first scene, gag and all. He rescues one, then rescues another bound the same way a couple seconds later. I'm not quite sure which the evil twin is, but one has a black gag and the other a beige one.

A few minutes later you see Olga standing in a big birdcage, her wrists tied behind her back with yellow rope. Evil Olga taunts her and smears lipstick all over her face before the inevitable fight scene where she is freed.

Karla
Day: Monday September 21 2009
Time: 12:00 AM eastern
Channel: Lifetime Movie Network (LMN)
Various scenes, one with a gag.
Record number: 12634

Title: Karla (2006) aka Deadly aka Lethal Marriage
Medium: Movie
Actress: Laura Prepon, Fiona Manners, Cherilyn Hayres, Tanya Lemelle, Kristen Swieconek

Description: Grim but non-exploitative drama about Karla Homolka (Prepon), who along with her husband Paul Bernardo abused and murdered several young women between 1990 and 1992. Much wasted bondage potential, but there are a few scenes of possible interest.

9 minutes in, Manners turns up briefly as a rape victim who is handgagged by Paul while walking in the woods.

17 minutes in, Paul gives Karla's sister Tammy (Hayres) a number of drugged drinks, from which she passes out. He then orders Karla to chloroform Tammy while he opens her shirt and bra. He's filming all this with a video camera. Unfortunately, Karla uses too much chloroform, and Tammy dies.

Next, in scenes beginning 33 and 39 minutes in, a second rape victim played by Lemelle, then Tina McCarthy (Swieconek), and then Karla, all get handgagged by Paul. Just after Karla's handgag, we see Swieconek, blindfolded but unbound, while Paul films her. He orders her to open her shirt, which she does, though she manages to protect her modesty. This scene cuts away, then picks up again a few minutes later. She's wearing a skirt and is barefoot. Eventually, Karla removes her blindfold.

The last victim is played by Foret (a Katie Holmes type) in the role of Kaitlyn, whom Paul handgags and kidnaps at knifepoint 57 minutes in. Like the other victims, she is never bound.

Finally, 78 minutes in, Paul decides to punish Karla with some rough sex. She is cleave gagged while he ravishes her, and he puts a cord around her neck and nearly strangles her. It also appears that her hands are bound in front during this scene, but you need freeze-frame to see it.
