| Title: Striking Distance (1993) Medium: Movie Actress: Sarah Jessica Parker, Sigrid Adrienne, unknown Description: Right at the beginning, an unknown actress is lying on the floor. Her hands are behind her back (no visible bonds) and she is tightly cleave gagged with a white cloth. The kidnapper holds up some rope to the camera, likely to strangle her. Short scene, some muffled crying, with one close-up and a full-body view. At about the 35-40 minute mark, nurse Paula (Adrienne) is tasered in a parking lot. She is next shown partially during a phone call to detective Tom (Bruce Willis), who is on the trail of the killer but is powerless to help Paula. We only see her lower legs and bare feet, bloodied up and tied separately to the front legs of a chair. Gagged wimpering can be heard, then a gunshot, followed by silence. Later in the movie, Tom's faithful colleague Jo (Parker) is tasered as well. She, Tom, and another guy are all shown sitting on chairs with their hands cuffed behind the backrests. Jo does not do much in her scene, but does manage to help out at the end after her chair is tipped over. She is then freed offscreen. All three damsels are wearing very short skirts or dresses. |
