Record number: 3201 Title: The Three Stooges: Shivering Sherlocks (1948) Medium: Movie Actress: Christine McIntyre Description: Gladys Harmon (McIntyre) has inherited a house in the country and the boys go with her to inspect it. The house turns out to be a armed robbery gang's hideout. At some point past the 5' mark, one of the gang members handgags Gladys and drags her away. Shortly after she is shown tied to a chair (wrists bound to the arms with a rope passing from one arm to the other) and tightly detective gagged with a white cloth. "Of Cash and Hash" has identical scene except for ending where it shows Gladys ungagging herself and escaping. Shivering Sherlocks shows her free without any scene leading up to her untieing herself. |

Record number: 286 Title: Three Days Of The Condor (1975) Medium: Movie Actress: Faye Dunaway Description: Tied up for a while and briefly gagged, in the middle half of the movie, with several pairs of stockings. Versions of the film usually aired on British TV are the same, but the first cut I ever saw (also on TV) had a scene in which Redford started by saying, "I need your car." He proceeded to tie her up against her protestations, and just before he gagged her, she said, "This is not fair!" There were several almost-closeups of her face being gagged and struggling as Redford left. The order of scenes is also changed in subsequent versions; the original sequence made the narrative much clearer. |
