Here, Dorothy Lamour plays Donna, a con artist who pretends to be a prisoner of white slavers ready to be sold in the slave market. We see her with her wrists tied in front with rope. There is a short wood rod with ropes at both ends effectively working as handcuffs. There is also a rope from the rod around her neck holding her elbows arms at a 90 degree angle. Being a black and white movie this is really appreciated only at the time the clueless heroes Bob Hope and Bing Crosby untie her, after bidding successfully for her. |
