Young Indiana Jones: The Phantom Train of Doom
Day: Thursday May 17 2001
Time: 7 p.m. CST
Channel: Sci-Fi
In his final Bound for Hollywood column in Bondage Life #79, Carl McGuire wrote the following review of this film. Don't miss the Phantom Train of Doom, set in Africa during WWI, with redheaded Lynsey Baxter as a German courier clad in boots and a riding outfit, who's intercepted by Indy and Friends. They bind and gag her and hide her in one of their wagons. Indy, the unselfish lad, volunteers to feed her. She condescendingly takes one bite, then dismisses him with the words, 'I'd like my gag back, please.' Sheepishly, he does as she asks, and she wears it almost proudly. What a fraulien, huh? This scene occur roughly at the mid-point of the film. A few minutes later, Indy's group enters a German checkpoint and Baxter is again tied and gagged and stored away in a wagon, much like the way Dyan Cannon was stored in a military truck in 'The Sender.' Like Cannon, Baxter finally makes enough noise to be discovered by German troops. It's one of my personal favorite scenes, just on Baxter's attitude alone. Thanks again to Carl McGuire, for starting me on this insatiable quest for scenes. At the same time, my ability to catch these types of scenes has gone through the roof since I found this site. Thanks, everybody.

After being caught out by the bad guys, she's next seen in a crate hands tied behind her, feet tied and gagged with a black cleave. Crate is then covered and nailed shut. Some mmmmphing but her outfit is as unsexy as you can get (possibly some sort of unbecoming ski suit).

Phantom Train of Doom NOT airing
Day: Thursday May 17 2001
Time: 7 p.m. CST
Channel: Sci-Fi
Unfortunately, for some reason Sci-Fi won't be showing the Phantom Train of Doom episode, choosing instead to air the freaking Terminator instead. My cable maagazine listed about five of the Young Indiana Jones movies set to run on Sci-Fi this month, but a look at Sci-Fi's movie grid reveals only one of them ended up airing. The silver lining to all this is that I noticed that Sci-Fi will air Sleeping Dogs on May 31. I'll post an alert there as well.
