Record number: 12195 Title: Stargate SG-1 aka Stargåte SG-1 aka Stargate: SG-1 Medium: TV Series Actress: Claudia Black Description: Episode: "Memento Mori" (10.8) Vala (Claudia) is grabbed by the Trust. They think she has residual memories from her time as a Goa'uld host, so they strap her to a gurney/teatment bed using black nylon cuffs at the wrists and ankles. Her head and upper body are comfortably elevated and her arms are at her sides. She's dressed in a blue top, black pants, and black boots. No gag. (They *are* trying to interrogate her. The alien device they're using to trigger her memory is painful, so it's something of a torture scene, and the two male Trust agents twiddling the knobs do a credible job of gloating over their helpless victim. Vala is her usual brave, wise-cracking self. "You realize I'm going to kill you both" she says at one point (or words to that effect). There's a botched rescue attempt by commando/SWAT types, things blow up real good, but Vala escapes, suffering from amnesia but otherwise unharmed. |

Record number: 13432 Title: Threshold Medium: TV Series Actress: Carla Gugino Description: Episode: "Revelations" (1.8) Carla Gugino's character is captured by the bad guys and chained via handcuffs attached to a long chain to some pipes in an underground storage area. The lighting is poor and the editing is very jumpy, but there are some atypically well lit shots of her handcuffs as she tries to pick the lock. There are closeups of the cuffs on her wrists as she works the locks. Also, Gugino is wearing a form-fitting white T-shirt and jeans, unusually sexy dress for her in this series. |

Record number: 12121 Title: Threshold Medium: TV Series Actress: Julie Dretzin Description: Episode: "Progeny" (1.9) Libby Drennan (played by Julie Dretzin) is taken down for ripping her husband's head off and throwing it in the street. When the cops come to arrest her, she resists until she is subdued by a taser, at which point she is handcuffed with her wrists behind her back. Happens about 8 minutes in. Scene is about 25 seconds long - spread out between the taze, knockout, and handcuffing/lying on the floor cuffed scene. Later in the episode, you see her bound to a table in a medical lab with really big metal restraints holding her ankles together and her wrists at her side. Scenes at 13, 15, 16.5, 33, 42 minutes. She is wearing a red hospital gown. There is a total of about 4 minutes of on screen time - 2.5 if you cut out somewhat distant shots or when the camera pans to another character. Also, in the very begining of this episode, we see a flashback to the handgag in (1.4). Scenes are surprisingly well lit, in focus and the restraints look fairly tight. A great example of how to do a "futuristic restraints scene. |

She sits like that during the climax fight. Afterwards, a lot of talk, and she has to attract attention to be untied: "Hey guys, I'm tied up here! ". |
