The show was only picked up for 10 episodes initially which is much shorter than the usual 13 episode initial order, so I’m going to assume this story is tied up by then (also considering how tight the show is and there aren’t any subplots, etc.) and they’ve already written and filmed all of that so they can’t just randomly extend the story now to six episodes without doing something else. |

It's the latter, but you have to appreciate the tone of the show. Wolke's titular character is an adorable clutz trope. She works for the police, but she's not an officer. She ends up dipping her toes in their work, and has damsel-in-distress tendencies as a result. There were a couple additional scenes in the show including an extended one where she's gagged with white tape. One of my favorite wells for scenes of recent memory. Wolke has a unique charm and the tone of the show allowed for light hearted scenes that appeal to my tastes. I'm not one for tortured, screaming and crying damsels zip tied to the point of circulatory damage, personally. |

A spoiled rich girl from the high school is kidnapped and bound and gagged by her captors. Title: Sweet Valley High Medium: TV Series Actress: Shirlee Elliot Description: Episode: "Crimes and Cappuccinos" (3.20) Rich snobby Lila (Elliot) is kidnapped by a comic couple who come to rue the day they hatched their plot. In the opening, she is handgagged -- a hand gags her and drags her off screen in a scene lasting a couple of seconds or so. Following the title sequence and immediately after a classroom scene, she's shown bound to a chair, her wrists roped to the arms, more about her waist and ankles, and cleave gagged with a thick knotted red cloth. She's wearing a light blue couture suit with matching handbag (which she continues to hold in her left hand). The male miscreant removes the gag, and Lila criticizes the choice of polyester, as opposed to cotton, which "breathes". This segment lasts about a minute and a half. She's later shown still attached to the chair by the waist ropes, but with her wrists free. Her ankles aren't shown. Finally the two have enough of her insufferability, and rid themselves of their headache in front of the local teen hangout. |

| Episode 2 ends with a completely GREAT yet gratuitous scene of Bex very effectively mummified in plastic wrap. It is true that it was mentioned, ONCE in the episode that she may need to be wrapped in tape, but it is a passing, quick and inconsequential mention. Go to the credits at the end to see it. Anyone know any other such gratuitous scenes? |

But I do remember a book passage from John Grisham's A Time to Kill in which they describe the taste of a dirty, oily gag in the one damsel's mouth. |
