If I recall correctly When A Stranger Calls' scene was brief and darkly lit, but Kate Mulgrew is beautiful throughout -especially when she's anxious or frightened which is most of the film. Photos show that her tapegag was initially quite small, then stretched ear to ear in other shots happily so continuity issues there. Mouth stuffing was a nice touch. When A Stranger Calls is certainly overdue for a film or mini-series remake. Probably Mary Higgins Clark's best-known thriller. The book had several full treatment scenes for both kidnappees so a new screen version could amend the lack of bondage seen in the '82 version |

When A Stranger Calls lol. Apologies of course to Ms Higgins Clark readers etc. A Stranger Is Watching naturally. Got my Strangers mixed-up ha. Still deserves a remake though ;) |

She is indeed wearing the red jacket and hair tied back when being tied up. It also shows Celeste O'Connor character stuffing probaby a sock into Kathryn's mouth. Too bad the wraparound tape gag is not shown here |

Is this the one where the girl is actually the serial killer and the guy serial killer is actually the girl? So is she gagged as the guy serial killer in the girl body? So weird lul |

Several of Mary Higgins Clark's mystery novels feature bound and gagged female characters, and in most cases, it's the heroine. I'd skim through them to find the chapters with the salacious scenes featuring the heroine bound and gagged. The author's gag of choice was usually tape. Mary Higgins Clark was the mystery writers equivalent of Lifetime Television; her novels featured strong female heroines, but they still wound up bound and gagged. Several of her novels were made into movies. How many of these movies adhered to the plot of the novel they were based on and featured a bound and gagged heroine? |

How many of these movies adhered to the plot of the novel they were based on and featured a bound and gagged heroine? ~~~~ Off the top of my head, three adaptations that featured bang-up B&g scenes: "A Stranger is Watching" (1982) starring Kate Mulgrew. "Terror Stalks the Class Reunion" (1992) starring Kate Nelligan. "Before I Say Goodbye" (2003) starring Sean Young. |

Actually, some continuity problems here. Though I wouldn't have minded to see this screen beauty properly OTM/detective gagged at all. |

Wednesday November 11 13:24:20 2020 Private Eyes - TV Series |
Season 4 of “Private Eyes” has started in Canada (not sure about the US). The preview for week’s episode (airing on Global Tv on Mondays) shows Cindy Sampson’s character being hooded, later shown t and g in duct tape. The episode title is “The PI vanishes”. |

Thanks for the info! I remember Terror Stalks the Class Reunion now; Kate Nelligan is kidnapped by a classmate who harbored a crush on her in high school, or something to that effect. She is gagged with tape that she removes herself. I recall one Mary Higgins Clark novel where the heroine, Pat Traymore, is bound and gagged in a townhouse that's been set on fire. I think this was made into a movie, but don't remember the title. |

When I searched I left it out since I'm so used to searching other site databases that don't need it. I didn't realize it's needed here. But onto good news... Looks like there is another sequel in post production: Stalkers Prey 3 and judging from the photos on IMDB there is a scene with a redhead. No details except there are two photos, one with a gag hanging around her neck and in another photo she is wearing it as a cleave gag between scenes which is kind of funny since she isn't tied down and is standing in front of the villain. He is holding a gun and seems to be letting her walk around with just a gag or just caught her in the middle of an escape. And bonus: The crew is working safely wearing masks! https://www.imdb.com/title/ tt10457482/mediaviewer/rm677698049 |

Wednesday November 11 17:46:42 2020 season/series finale damsels |
How many times has a season ended with a female as a damsel and then got followed up on the next season. conversely how many times has a series ended prematurely and the last episode left the damsel as a captive. |

I found a trailer for the season posted a few weeks back that includes a blink-and-miss part of the scene. She's hooded from behind and eventually placed in the trunk of the kidnapper's car. Hands taped in front, feet not taped, and she kicks the guy as he opens the trunk, ala Missy Peregrym in Rookie Blue Not sure if this is what's shown in the episode promo, which I could not find. This could be good or this might be all we get if she untapes her mouth once she kicks the guy. https://i.imgur.com/BEL7dW6.png https://i.imgur.com/p2aGRKj.png https://i.imgur.com/z8CkZLV.png |

Looks like a good scene. Interesting how the actress directed the episode. Seems the list of actress-directors who directs themselves bound and gagged is getting bigger. |

It has to do with the difference between a "curly" apostrophe, which gets entered with people copy/paste from a source that uses them, and the regular type. Looking at that entry, it seems to be okay and should be found from typing into the Search. Unless an editor recently fixed it. |

It didn't look like it was the curled apostrophe, but I honestly can't remember if I did anything to it. Might have though. I think I checked it out before I had any coffee. |
