| The problem was, I panicked, because I was lying in the first place about my client, and I'm no great liar. I was telling the truth about the game show (it was the Price Is Right), so that was no problem. But I was lying, and feeling ashamed at the same time. Not a great recipe for thinking on your feet. What he said in full was he couldn't do that, because there was always a chance the entire series would be released in some for-profit fashion, so giving it to me on DVD, even though he trusted me, would be tantamount to screwing up a potential re-release of the series were it ever to happen. I did manage to reassure him that I wouldn't redistribute it, and he said he knew I wouldn't, but that he can't just push a button; he has to get an editor involved, and he was afraid the guy would rat on him for an entire series. Which made sense to me. I'm not done trying to figure out an angle though. The American Girls, though it aired on CBS, is not owned by CBS Television Distribution, which is the company my buddy works for. B.A.D. Cats, however, is. M. |

He handgags her roughly and tosses her to a henchman, who zip-ties her hands behind her and drags her off down the hall. A few minutes later, she's seated in a chair in the kitchen and cleave gagged with a black cloth. After the familiar "I'm going to take your gag down, but if you scream..." bit, the rapist ungags her for some conversation, but then gags her again. She also gets another quick handgag from the henchman. Fortunately for Rebecca: between Jeremy, daughter Heather (you don't want to mess with Heather), and Krampus, the bad guys don't stand a chance.
