Weak scene in tonight's Lifetime movie "The Wrong Wedding Planner." Veteran DiD Crystal Lowe chloroformed in final 10 minutes in yellow top and pajama bottoms with slippers. She's dragged upstairs and placed on a bed. Tied hands in front with rope and her slippered feet also tied. No gag, and she easily unties herself when she wakes up. |

Another one that doesn't get enough love. :-) It's a classic scene for sure. And also notable how Marg's fellow Species co-star Natasha Henstridge also get an excellent duct tape B&G scene a few short years later in Caracara. |

I knew that Natasha Henstridge would be bound and gagged in the movie after reading the plot synopsis on the DVD package. I don't recall whether she was gagged with several strips of duct tape over her mouth, or a wraparound tape gag. I do remember the police dispatcher advising her to keep making noises through her gag until the police arrived. |

I remembered always wishing she'd get B&G after seeing her in Species (and who didn't?) and that wish came true in the best way possible when years later I caught her Caracara scene. |

Agreed! After the terrorists who took over her apartment left her bound and gagged there, she managed to make her way to a phone and get in touch with a police dispatcher. The dispatcher immediately realized Natasha Henstridge's predicament: she was bound and gagged, and thus unable to explain her situation. Being a sympathetic and competent person, the dispatcher directed the police to her apartment, advising Henstridge to continue making noises through her duct tape gag. |

The scene itself is also fairly long and prolonged, moreso than most DID scenes. Another reason it's excellent. Despite the dark lighting you thankfully get plenty of good, clear and well-lit shots of Natasha's gagged face. Combined with her constant moaning and struggling, it's an instant keeper. |
Saturday July 18 22:05:02 2020 Murder in the Vineyard |
Lame finish to the latest Lifetime movie, but man it could have been awesome. Emma Furhmann grabbed about 1:40 in, same scene as shown in the promo. She later appears tied up in a shack, incredibly no gag. The hot mom hears her yelling and breaks into the shack for the rescue. As she's about to untie her, she gets chloroformed from behind. Next, the mom has been moved to the house, tied to a chair, feet to each side with rope, her hands taped behind her back. Emma is next shown in the next room tied the same way, no gag. She sees a box cutter across the room and hops the chair over to cut herself free. She then bashes the bad guy with a bottle as he's choking the mom. Unbelievable and infuriating they didn't use the tape to gag Emma in either scene. At least we have her in "Gone Girl." But we can't watch that one (wink, wink). |

That always infuriates me to no end. Scenes where a damsel is tape-bound but not gagged. What's the point? |

This was especially absurd, because they went to the trouble of tying both actresses' legs to each leg of the chair with rope, yet tied their hands with tape. The rope also connected their feet together in addition to each foot tied to the chair. |
