| saw movie, here's description. spoiler free version- about halfway, natalie gets knocked out by butt of gun to the head, when she wakes, she Tessa Thompson and Jennifer Jason leigh are all bound and gagged. Jennifer has her hands zipped behind and to a chair. natalie and Tessa have their hands zipped separately to chair arms. all of their feet are tied separately to chair legs. They are otm gagged with what looks like washcloths. Weird stuff happens, natalie gets her gag off. more stuff and a struggle, Tessa and natalie break their chairs. Then everyone is free. Everyone is in army cloths. Spoilery description 5 girls go into weird forrest with weird critters. Gina rodriguez figures out nat is married to guy that came out of weird area and gets crazy paranoid. halfway through movie, gina knocks out natalie with a gun. When she wakes, gina goes all crazy trying to figure out if she'll kill our damsels. Then she hears a scream outside and is attacked by bear creature (nat has gotten off gag now). Bear critter goes inside, so all our damsls hush up and stay still. Its about to attack Tessa when gina comes back and shoots it. This causes it to kill gina, but it also runs over natalie, breaking her chair. Then it comes back to get natalie, but then Tessa is broken out and saves the day. Jennifer untied offscrean. |

I always thought it was just double-sided tape to keep the OTM gag from "slipping" off. See (actually, hear) this OTM gag/production issue on the commentary of "Silent Scream." |

| Standard otm's are notorious for slipping down, even ones that are tied tight. Vet wrap and tape otm's don't have this problem of course, and retain the great aesthetic look of a wide otm. Most tv/filmmakers avoid them though as they are time-consuming to apply and remove during multiple takes etc. Nice to see tape wraparounds becoming more prevalent in mainstream fare all the same. Gags are getting better and more realistic |
