| Friday October 22 18:58:40 2021 Murder at the World Series (1977) |
| Adding a missing scene. Sorry if description is too lengthy, but it should be easy for someone to cut this down if it is deemed that I put unnecessary information. Title: Murder at the World Series (1977) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Maggie Wellman Description: "Kathy" (Wellman) is kidnapped by a disturbed man trying to collect a ransom from the Houston Astros (he thinks she is a player's wife but has the wrong girl). He tricks/lures her to his van and pushes her in at about minute 27 (no commercials). After that, there are 3 or 4 scenes with the man talking to her in the van. Her hands (sometimes but not always visible) are cuffed with about a 3-foot chain running around a post behind her, attached to the van. Her feet are not bound and she is never gagged. The final scene with Wellman is about minute 53. The bad guy sets a time bomb to explode, and she struggles to stop him but can't, being handcuffed. He assures her that he will come back to the van after collecting the ransom and she won't be harmed. She screams as he shuts the van door. Wellman isn't seen anymore; the man tries to come back to the van to turn off the bomb, but due to a series of unfortunate events, he doesn't make it back in time and the van explodes with her coming to an unhappy end. The following is taken directly from the IMDB entry for this movie: "Goofs: When Cisco is attempting to put the Bomb on Kathy and she resists, she is handcuffed with only her right wrist. The other cuff is handcuffed to the clear leg of a table. After giving up on making her wear the bomb, Cisco places the bomb back in the cabinet. As he turns back to Kathy, both her wrists are now cuffed, and the chain is placed behind the table leg, not cuffed to it." |
