| These are bulgarian comedy series. The actress is Hristina Apostolova and she plays a macedonian spy, who is held hostage and interrogated during the whole episode. She is also a screenwriter of the series and wife of the producer. This scene will probably continue next week. |

| I hope this isn't too off topic, but... I have found a sight has the full episodes of The Perils of Penelope Pitstop. For sh*ts and giggles I thought I would edit them down to get rid of the non bondage perils and the entirety of the Ant Hill Mob. They are embedded using Flash and I was able save and convert them to MP4 format. When I play the video in with the with 2 different video players the audio comes through. When I try edit the videos (I have Corel Video Studio and Gopro studio) I lose the audio. I figure there must be a few people on this forum that must have some experience with this. Any freeware solutions? |

Thank you! You can see here how a DiD scene from a movie may be reproduced in differen formats. Mind you, this actually happens as long as the movie was shot in 35mm film. Fullscreen is obsolete now that we have HD, and TV series which were shot in fullscreen are now cropped to widescreen in their newer HDTV releases. Sometimes they are re-framed just like That Darn Cat, as is the case with X-Files (third picture). |

| I was wondering if there were any way to make some season 3 clips HM in HD. In episode 3.08, "Papa's got a brand new friend", Miley gets hooked up by wires around her arms and legs puppeteer style. The guy "controlling" her even makes her handgag or "arm gag" her self twice and she lets out a few great "mmmphs". In the very next episode "cheat it", towards the middle of the episode, Miley gets a decent handgag as "Hannah" while on a talk show. If there's anyway to convert these scenes into HD, and possibly cap them, it'd be greatly appreciated. I know there only minor scenes, but it was when Miley was at the peak of her cuteness. A cuteness we'll unfortunately never see of her again now that she's still balls deep in the "Disney girl gone wild" phase. Anyways thanks in advance. |

It's not the visual editor type of thing that you may be used to, such as Premiere or Final Cut or that Corel software you mentioned, but it can split your video into parts based on timecodes. So, you'll have to write down the timecodes where you want your cuts to be made and then input them on MKVtoolnix using the "split after specific timecodes" option. Then, MKVtoolnix will generate multiple parts of your video. After that, you can delete the non-damsel files and then re-join the damsel files, again, using MKVtoolnix. The resulting file will be MKV, but it will have the same quality of audio and video that the original MP4 had, since you're remuxing rather than re-encoding, so you don't have to worry about quality. |

Don'tcha just hate it when you've punched in all the timecodes, while playing & pausing the vid, and the keyframes turn out to be all over the place when you split the file? This has always been the case with Youtube's H.264 rips, but strangely not with their VP8/VP9 WebMs. I've recently turned to an old version of Avidemux for re-encoding, and it works superbly. Simply crop out anything you don't want, make some adjustments if there's black borders, then re-encode for a near-perfect cap. For anyone interested in using that method, all you have to do is remember these settings: Mpeg4 AVC x264, 2-pass (untick "fast first pass"), bitrate within 5kbps of the original, match the H.264 level (L3, 4.1, etc.), and set audio to copy mode. Works a charm. |

| ^ Forgot to mention that Avidemux HAS a real-time preview, unlike MKVmerge, so you can play & crop on the fly. However, be aware that there's still a bad glitch which occurs when editing 1080p files specifically: while seeking forward using the right arrow, do NOT hold it down for more than 6 seconds. The whole app will crash instantly & you'll lose all your work. It's something to do with 1080p being quite the buffer-hog in the CPU department. Just hold it down for short bursts of less than 5secs instead, and it'll be fine. It doesn't seem to apply to 720p. |

Keyframes don't matter if I'm re-encoding; I just hard-cut whatever I want, at least with my method of always selecting one frame before & after a cut (otherwise you end up with a flash of a single frame of undesired material left in). I think Avidemux 2.6.7 is from late 2013, but I see no reason to upgrade from that. Likewise I'm still using MKVmerge 5.2.1, which is from January 2012! I really dislike all the recent versions of that from 2014 onwards, when the layout was changed. |
