Record number: 15718

Title: Den som draeber aka Den som dræber aka Those who kill
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Mia Jexen aka Mia Nielsen-Jexen, Laura Bach

Description: Episode: "Liget i skoven" aka "Corpse in the Woods" (1.1)

Danish crime series which came through with a double DiD scene in the first episode.

Malene (Mia Jexen) is held captive by a serial killer in the first half of the show. At 21mins she is carried out of a van, initially unconcious. When she wakes up on the floor, she starts to scream but gets a tight handgag to keep her quiet. We next see her at 25-26mins, bound to a chair using black zipties (wrists to armrests, bare feet to chair legs) and gagged with a strip of blue duct tape. Lots of terrified mmpphhing in this minute-long scene, but she is no longer bound after that.

Cute female lead Katrine (Laura Bach), a police investigator, later ends up in very much the same predicament. At 1hr 4mins she is kidnapped from her home; grabbed, handgagged and injected with a sedative. About 2mins later she wakes up in a darkened room, bound to a chair in the same way as Jexen but gagged differently; hers is a white cloth tied tightly OTM, with a smaller white cloth stuffed in her mouth and somewhat visible through the OTM (we only see this packing being removed, re-applied and removed again in a couple of split-second views). She remains bound to the chair until 1hr 9mins, after which she is lying on the floor at 1hr 14-17mins, unbound but still gagged for a while longer.

Note: IMDb suggests the episodes aired in Denmark as a two-parter. Therefore the Laura Bach scene would occur in "Liget i skoven, del 2" (Part 2).

Doesn't take much effort to turn an OTM into a cleave,
all she has to do is open her mouth.

I just downloaded the film, it has a little tape gag scene indeed, both hands tied on the back, scene lasts about 2 min tops...

If it's 0:50 in length, that's probably my RM clip. I'm traveling at the moment, and I don't do that kind of crazy tight editing anymore, but I can do a recompress if nobody has a better version. (This would be a good show to reclip at some point...)

Good stuff. Sam has a longer clip that includes Mia Jexen's scene here:

One of the all-time greats! I did do a clip as well after Wolfe pointed us to the YouTube links a few months ago. It's a looser edit and runs about 11 minutes longer.

Ah now I feel stupid. Personally I try to make my clips as tight as I can, with as little focus on anything that doesn't include the girl, but I don't mean to one-up anyone who's already made a clip in with the same video quality. :)

No worries...it's always good to have more options (not to mention hard to keep track of who's clipped what)! Seems like my clip has more of the carrying at the beginning, non-gag stuff, etc. while yours might appeal more to the gag snobs among us, so now everyone's happy. :)

This is what I find enjoyable about the DiD-clipping community in general: the stylistic variety & how everyone has their own preference of editing a scene. Some will include shots which don't have the damsel in view, in case it breaks up the dialogue; others will clip out any shot which doesn't show bonds (like prolonged close-ups of a bound but non-gagged damsel).

I think Raffish recently tried an ambitious True Blood edit where he clipped out ALL shots containing a putz, even if it had B&G damsels in the same shot. And then there's multiple ways of editing a capture sequence where a damsel is held up at gunpoint but not actually restrained, and whether to include it or not.

The variety is great, and the more versions of the same scene that end up floating around on Youtube, etc. the better chance of it remaining in circulation & not becoming a lost holy grail for someone.

Re: Hasta el fin del Mundo
^ Oh yea, and let's not forget that unique edit of 'Lava' by MajorJohn's: I've only seen a snippet of it, but what they did was crop out the putz whenever he appeared in the same wide-angle shot as Nicola Stapleton. Simply zoom in & crop to the same dimensions; easy! I haven't seen the same de-putzifying technique since. I might even try it myself one day.

Stranger Within
Title: Stranger Within
Actress: Estella Warren
Notes: HEVC-encoded. Use up-to-date VLC player or equivalent.

I could only get my hands on a DVD copy of the movie, so the quality isn't what I'd like. I upscaled it since I needed to re-encode it anyway.

WARNING: This scene may be a little disturbing for some. Estella's character has been abducted and paralyzed by some guy, who then rapes her. The fact that it's an Estella Warren DiD scene (ballgagged no less) is what makes it worth keeping for me.

Title: Alias, "Full Disclosure" (3.11)
Actress: Jennifer Garner

Trivia: there was a still image from a promo of this episode where Jennifer was wearing a big pink ball-gag instead of the tape-gag. Ah, what could have been.

Looking for this scene
Title: Wizadora
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Wendy van der Plank

Description: Episode: "Wool Trouble" (3.22)

UK kids' series about a friendly witch who lives in a house with her assortment of Muppet-like friends. Wizadora (van der Plank) casts a spell that goes wrong: she ends up getting encased in lots of yellow yarn, which also wraps itself several times tightly over her mouth to gag her. Nice mmpphhing and fantastic expressions. She stays like this until the end of the episode.

I have it in the pipeline, but there's an audio sync issue with my file (long since deleted from Youtube & in need of an edit since 2009) which will keep that one on the rocks for a lil while longer. It's a great scene tho, so watch this space.

Yeah, this is pretty cool. I'd love to try it as well, next time I run into a scene that seems to fit the bill. It obviously won't work for all putz scenes: for instance, I just took another look at the recent "Gourmet Detective" scene, where the putz really gets in the way, and concluded that cropping him out and zooming in on Crystal Lowe in the same aspect ratio would end up cropping too much of her out as well. Nor would it work with that "True Blood" episode, given that one of the putzes is directly between the two damsels. (Well, I suppose you could include the same shot twice, once zoomed on each damsel...hmmmm...)

There is also the crudest way possible: slap a black square/rectangle over the interference & move it around, lol. Or blur him out beyond recognition. There are some scenes which sorely need such drastic measures, like (as you mentioned) Gourmet Detective.

Speaking of which, does anyone have the scene where Mariella Frostrup is bound and gagged from that kid's show she used to be on?
