Record number: 1789 Title: Class Act Medium: TV Series Actress: Joanna Lumley, Lucy Benjamin Description: Episode: 1.01 UK comedy series aired in 1994-1995. In the series premiere, Kate (Lumley) is captured by the bad guy and his girlfriend Berryl (Benjamin). While being held at gunpoint by Berryl, Kate is shown being bound to a chair; hands tightly tied behind the backrest with white rope, feet also tied together but more loosely, and tightly cleave gagged onscreen with a thick white cloth. All the while, a bomb is rigged to detonate in a few minutes. One by one, Kate's friends come to rescue her but they are too dumb to notice the bomb. Great struggling, lots of mmpphhing and gag-talk in a scene quite similar to that of Lynda Carter in the Wonder Woman episode "The Starships Are Coming" (3.15). After being rescued, Kate finds Berryl tied to the railings (hands behind) in the street, which prompts her to say "Oh, leave her. She'll probably pick up some bondage customers." |
