SAM, See the FAQ which should answer your question 2.2 Why is The Moderator such a f*cking asshole? Oh, he likes it. No really, he's actually a rather easy to get along with type. However, he's also a veteran of the usenet wars (You fought in the flame wars, Grandpa? Tell me about it!). He knows that by their nature, discussion groups attract all sorts of people. There are those who wish to discuss the stated topic at hand, but also those that want to talk about related and even unrelated topics. There are also the usual kooks and trolls that infest the internet. Groups that aren't moderated either spiral down into oblivion, or a group of regulars will apply moderation by peer pressure. To relieve everyone of that, he has shouldered The Moderatorman's Burden, and gone to strike a blow for righteousness. Or something. Over the past several years, The Moderator has dealt with a number of problems, and has devised a "style". That style is generally blunt, and to the point. He sometimes chastises people in public, which can be embarrassing or annoying. Believe it or not, The Moderator is human, and some days are better than others. When he is irritable, he may be more likely to give people public admonishments. But usually it is because he feels that it is time for some public tutoring on the subject, and someone gets to be the lucky object of the lesson. The Moderator tries very hard to apply the rules fairly and in an evenhanded manner. He rarely gets angry, but does get annoyed. Especially vexing are the messages that start out "I know you're just going to delete this but . . . " In general, The Moderator gives very wide latitude to those who disagree with him, and lets them speak their piece. Also, the rules about abusive posts are seldom enforced when directed towards him. He knows that such posts won't hurt his feelings, or start a flame war. In fact he often finds such posts to be amusing. |

Also, 1.3 How do I know what's OK to post, or which page to use? The pages all have a paragraph at the top, the Mission Statement. This gives you a basic idea of the topics for that forum. Also, each page has posting guidelines on its Post form. Over the years, The Moderator has made a number of rulings regarding content. As these are numerous and subject to change, they aren't written down. As with any forum, lurk for a while and get a feel, or just ask. |

| OK, this is VERY unusual -- I've tried everything possible, but there is no way that the second episode ('All In') is going to work anytime soon. For some reason, the file is riddled with all sorts of synch problems that can't be fixed with tsMuxer, MKVmerge or anything else. I'm still looking for a way to get it running, but it's likely that the original cap was corrupted and never got replaced. Therefore we might be out of luck. That's probably Little Fiji. There were several tie ups and handcuffings on GLOW. A lot of them were from Sarah and Mabel (S & M). There are a lot of GLOW videos on YouTube. Check them out if you can stand going through them all. |
