| Kitai's post and Florentina's video have me wondering: How many scenes are there from the Sentai/Dairanger series? And how many are circulating? In addition to The Goggle-V movie, we have five in the database: Ninja sentai Kakuranger 1.15-16 Mirai sentai Timeranger 41 Taiyou sentai Sun Valkan 8 Gosei sentai Dairanger 22 & 37 as well as one listed as Dai Ranger (Episodes 7 & 8) I also searched back in video posts and found: Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger 37 Engine Sentai Go-Onger 18 Gosei Sentai Dairanger 7 That's a total of nine scenes. How many of those are available (I couldn't find any on YT, but I haven't swapped my VPN around)? And if there were close to 20 series of these shows, I would imagine there are a few more out there. |

If we are counting all scenes eligible for this site, then the total number would be in dozens, likely even hundred(s). The ones you listed are the most prominent/notorious ones, generally due to length and the fact that the damsel is gagged. There are however many other scenes (the Super Sentai franchise encompasses over 40 different series); some involving gags but short, some with good restrains but no gags, some filling a specific niche (tentacles, nets, gas knockout ...) and some with damsels whose certain characteristic should not be discussed here. (The possbily bad new is that despite the big amount of DiDs, the GiDs still notably outnumber them in the subgenre). |

The damsel was tied extremely tightly to a chair with many ropes tying her arms, legs, and I think her chest. As you can see, she's tape gagged with yellow tape. Her captor eventually wraps her entire mouth and nose with the tape which suffocates her and she drops unconscious (and maybe dies?) I'm pretty sure it was Japanese. |
