| For a few days "Hallam Foe" was shown in german TV with Claire Forlani as the damsel. I knew this scene before and found it somewhat disappointing. Anyway I cut the scene and uploaded it. I think I can spare my time to describe the scene. In an interview on "Chelsea Lately" Oliver Stone talked about how Blake Lively argued certain aspects of the script, how she "can't do this or that", etc. (sound familiar?) and how Hayek's character treats Lively's character as a daughter at one point so expect damsel things in general to be toned down. I wouldn't be surprised if some DID scenes were edited down or eliminated because of this. They did air a clip where she was led into an area with her hands ziptied in front while wearing a blindfold (no gag). The dialogue I've seen from several clips is so inane though I wouldn't otherwise see this film (definitely not going to pay for it). I miss the good old days where actresses did what they were hired to do. Dammit. |

A lot of them still will; they just have to hire one of the tens of thousands of beautiful young women who will take virtually any part in order to have people looking at them on the big screen. It's when the film makers decide they need to have a "name" actress that things can get sticky sometimes. And it's really pretty silly in this case. How many tickets is "Blake Lively" going to sell for this movie? Barely none, I'd bet. |
