| This is referring to the post I made today on the discussion page, unfortunately a torrent doesn't seem to exist for the old shows. The action *seems* to start at about 7:00 but that is based on a quick scan, I haven't seen it in it's entirety yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9Uy_ybIyKo Title: Dragnet (1951) Medium: TV Series Actress: Unknown Description: Episode: "The Big Trunk" (3.19) In this episode from the 50s series, starring Jack Webb as Friday and Ben Alexander as Smith, showed the discovery of the body of a woman beaten to death while bound to a chair. A fair amount of the episode consisted of long shots from behind the chair as the detectives questioned the landlady. The woman's hands were clearly tied behind the chair back and a thick set of ropes passed around her body and the chair. When the camera cut to other angles to show clues it also revealed attractive legs and feet (tied side by side), and finally a frontal shot showing more ropework around the knees and body. When the crime scene boys arrived later, another shot from behind and above showed everybody at work around the still tied woman. In the second half of the episode, Friday and Smith examined crime scene photos with still more shots of the actress. |
