This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

But Vimeo is a miserable video platform Have had my fair share of issues with Vimeo as well, but it's exactly where you are going to find most scenes. There are no doubt hundreds of hidden scenes on that site, as there are tens of thousands of short films. I'm grateful these three people have tracked down as many as they have. Here's my favorite: https://vimeo.com/416237269 |

Something that's absolutely true, but a bit maddening to think about. Vimeo and YouTube probably have all kinds of "scene of the year" type material in short films from the last couple decades, but unless the accompanying description or keywords say stuff like "kidnap" (which I bet is by far the minority), they're impossible to find. The stuff that people have actually found in short films is almost certainly only the tip of the iceberg. |

Imo Vimeo is truly a (barely) untapped gold mine for short film scenes. Unlike YT, it was designed for filmmakers to essentially advertise their content, which means light content regulation, much higher quality across the board and less deletions. Creators can also make their films available for purchase, and there are no ads. I know this just sounds like I'm just advertising Vimeo as a product, but I'm telling you: it's loaded with the type of stuff we care about. |
