Record number: 17876 Title: Zoe Gone (2014) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Sammi Hanratty Description: Cute brunette Hanratty plays a teen mom whose newborn has been kidnapped by a baby trafficking ring, and she is determined to get her back. Towards the end of the film she manages to find the kidnappers, but rather than getting to leave with her baby she is taken prisoner herself. When we next see her, at 1hr 7mins (without commercials), she is already bound to a chair with duct tape (hands taped by her sides to the backrest, ankles taped to chair legs) and is then gagged onscreen with a strip of tape nicely smoothed over her lips. A putz shares Hanratty's situation across the room, but he is rarely in the same shot as her. She initially watches on helplessly as the kidnappers leave with the baby, but soon she springs into action by putting up an energetic struggle with lots of mmpphhing and grunting throughout the next 2mins. First she manages to get her legs free by kicking them forward and thereby ripping the tape, then uses one leg to knock over a beer bottle from a nearby table. To put it to good use, she tips over her chair which lands directly on the bottle to smash it. Having got one hand free, she peels off the tape from her mouth and frees her other hand. Lighting is quite dim, with mainly close-ups and waist-up/down views of Hanratty bound and gagged in the chair; no full-body views. She wears a denim jacket over a burgundy top, black trousers and brown boots. |

Record number: 153 Title: The X-Files Medium: TV Series Actress: Gillian Anderson Description: Episode: "Irresistible" (2.13) A serial killer runs Gillian Anderson off the road in her car. She is next shown at 38mins, sitting on the floor of a room, tied up with black rope (hands in front, feet together) and tightly cleave gagged with a torn strip of white cloth. Her face is somewhat beaten up, with a bruise on her forehead and some dried blood on her chin. Lots of close-ups, terrified expressions and some mmpphhing as the killer approaches her with a knife, but ends up only using it to cut her feet free. He then drags her into a bathroom, still bound and gagged. However, she manages to shove him into a tub that he had filled with water. With him temporarily out of action, she makes a run for it and hides somewhere in the house. At 42mins, after a long search, he opens the door to a closet. Anderson suddenly bursts out and sprays him in the face using an oil can, with her hands still bound in front but no longer gagged. A struggle ensues, until David Duchovny shows up with his team and rescues her. Duchovny unties her, but the gag is left hanging down her neck the whole time. |
