Record number: 247 Title: Once Bitten (1985) Medium: Movie Actress: Karen Kopins Description: At 1hr 14mins (Blu-ray edition), stunning brunette Robin (Kopins) accepts a limousine ride from the wrong stranger: namely someone working for a vampire (Lauren Hutton) who needs virgin blood to stay young. Robin's goofy buddies (one of them being Jim Carrey in an early role) later discover her in a basement at 1hr 18mins; she is bound to a chair, hands tied to the armrests with thin black rope, a length over her chest, and feet tied to chair legs (her legs are crossed in a sexy way). She is also gagged with a wide strip of black gaffer tape, through which she mmpphhs a few times. They rush over to untie her, but leave her gagged for 30secs longer. The tape has been realistically applied, as when it is peeled off her mouth onscreen there is no evident "lip protection". Kopins wears a red jacket over a white shirt, a very short denim miniskirt (which has ridden up way past her thighs) and red flats. Jennie Linden's boyfriend is hypnotized by the Count. He approaches her menacingly, and seems to administer something like a Vulcan nerve pinch. She awakens slung over his shoulder, tied at wrists and ankles, cleave-gagged with a scarf over a wad of cloth. He dumps her in his kitchen dumbwaiter (doesn't everyone have one of those?), and sends her down in it, as he entertains the Count's next victim. Said victim presses a button, causing the dumbwaiter to rise, revealing the squirming, mmpphh-ing Jennie to us, but not to her. Boyfriend panicks and hits switch again; back down goes Jennie. Later, she frees herself (nice shot as she pulls gag out), and runs straight into the arms of the Count (David Niven). Tied to a pole in his hideout, Jennie's subject to the lustful attentions of vamp Teresa Graves. She pretends to respond; after Teresa frees her, Jennie cold-cocks her. She goes for the phone, but is found by the Count and hand-gagged (never knew David Niven had such big hands-- her face just disappears!). She's tied to the pole again; after she squawks a bit, the Count stuffs a handkerchief in her mouth.
