Ms. Beer is immediately handgagged, then the two then have their wrists bound behind their backs (Ms. Beer's on screen). They are next detective gagged with wide, thick white cloth. The good guys rescue them in the end of course. Action occurs near the end. Editor's note: The version of this episode being shown currently on the American MeTV channel (November 2017) does NOT show on-screen tying or explicit bonds. After the forced entry and handgagging one of the baddies says "Tie 'em up" and the camera cuts to the arrival of Jeff Spencer (Roger Smith) and Kookie (Edd Byrnes). The two women don't reappear until Kookie leads them out of the room where they were apparently held, gagged as described above and holding their hands behind them. Whether the scene as originally described has been subsequently cut should perhaps be clarified. |
