In the final 20 minutes, they sit down to dinner with the bad guy, who has slipped drugged ice cubes into their drinks. They all pass out at the table, and wake up in a storage closet. They are all tied hands behind back, ankles together, and are gagged with very thin cleaves. Escape is ridiculously easy, and they clobber the bad guy with a conveniently placed shovel before running out.
