@1:00am Space/Imagination Record number: 2115 Title: Max Knight: Ultra Spy (2000) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Rachel Blakely Description: Austrialian-made opus (but we'll forgive them) pits a part-cyborg superhero and his computer-generated assistant against a bunch of computer hackers bent on world domination by downloading their minds onto the internet (huh?) Ricki (Blakely) gets grabbed by the baddies, bound and detective gagged with a faded blue bandanna. Ultimately, she gets strapped to a chair where her mind is sucked out. Not to worry kiddies, the CG assistant reboots her brain and Ricki and the hero live happily ever after. Silly movie, but nice, extended scene. The action's in the last 50' or so. @8:00pm CFTM Mais qui est Harry Crumb? (1989) Record number: 975 Title: Who's Harry Crumb? (1989) Medium: Movie Actress: Renee Coleman Description: Ms. Coleman is nicely chloroformed in the opening credits, and towards the end, there's a very brief shot of her tied to a chair and blindfolded. @9:00pm CHCH Record number: 1301 Title: Black Light (1998) Medium: Movie Actress: Tahnee Welch Description: Playing a blind clairvoyant mixed up in a murder investigation, Raquel's daughter is knocked unconscious near the end of the movie by the bad guy, who lays her beside a swimming pool and ties her wrists (in front) and ankles with striped yellow cord, then tosses her into the water. This scene mirrors another one near the film's beginning, where Welch's character attempts suicide soon after being blinded in an accident, by wrapping a weighted cable around herself and jumping into the pool. |

Record number: 2700 Title: Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996) Medium: TV Series Actress: Melissa Joan Hart, Beth Broderick, Caroline Rhea, Lindsay Sloane Description: Episode: "Silent Movie" (3.25) In a segment which parodies silent movies, several female characters encounter a fair amount of bondage. First, Sabrina (Ms. Hart) gets tied to railroad tracks in her own bedroom (!) by the villian, then is rescued by her boyfriend. Later, she, her aunts, and Valerie (Ms. Sloane) get tied to the tracks (first Valerie, then the aunts, and finally the full foursome) in the living room. Nice struggling (no gags), and it's all shot in black & white and subtitled. The action begins around the 20' mark, and lasts about three minutes. Bonus: Hilda (Ms. Rhea) literally has her lips zipped by Zelda (Ms. Broderick) around the 10' mark. It's pretty brief, and no closeups. Double Bonus: Just before her first scene, Ms. Hart is seen blinkly (a new adverb) with a large pine cone in her mouth (don't ask). |

Record number: 7969 Title: Scorcher (2002) Medium: Movie Actress: Rayne Marcus Description: Marcus plays "Faith Beckett", the daughter of an army colonel. In the midst of an evacuation of Los Angeles, she's knocked on the head and dragged off by a psycho. When we next see her she's standing in a warehouse with her hands tied above her head (to a pipe) with rope. The nutcase taunts her and tells her that he's going to burn her alive at sunrise. Shortly after that the city is rocked by an earthquake and the pipe breaks and she frees herself. Then the bad guy catches her and zaps her with a stun gun. Soon after she's seen sitting on the floor with her hands tied, in front, to a metal storage rack. She manages to reach a pager with her feet and pages her dad who comes to the rescue just as the bad guy is about to fry her with a blow torch. Her hands are bound with wire and in closeups it's obvious that she could easily pull her hands out. In the wide shots the wire appears to be a little tighter, not much though. No gag in either scene. |

Record number: 10518 Title: Decoys (2004) Medium: Movie Actress: Stefanie von Pfetten Description: This Canadian horror flick about beautiful college sorority girls who become tentacle monsters during sex. About an hour in (very rough estimate) there's a scene where the protagonist ties up von Pfetten, binding her to a chair at wrists and waist with duct tape and threatening her with a blowtorch, for what seems to him to be very good reasons. |
