| One of the GREATS, IIRC!! Title: Starsky & Hutch aka Starsky and Hutch Medium: TV Series Actress: Dianne Kay aka Diane Kay Description: Episode: "The Psychic" (2.15) Joanna (Kay) is the daughter of a football team owner, and strolls down her driveway at 4-5mins. She is wearing her school uniform (a white blouse, brown cardigan sweater, plaid skirt and saddle shoes). She stops to chat with an acquaintance sitting in a van parked at the curb. However, an accomplice of his grabs Joanna from behind, handgagging her and dragging her to the back of the van. At 13mins the kidnappers arrive at a junkyard, where, now with her hands tied behind her back, her ankles roped together, and OTM gagged with a thick triangularly-folded white cloth, Joanna is shown being carried in another baddie's arms to an old delivery truck in which she will be killed when it goes into the crusher unless she is found in time. One of the captors pulls her gag down to mess around with her a bit, at 20-21mins. His accomplice protests, so the gag is replaced and both bid her farewell. The outcome, of course, is up to the episode's title character who tries to divine the victim's location from a picture of her, at 28mins, resulting in a split-second close-up shot of her roped ankles and another of her writhing and struggling. He tries again at 42mins, just before the truck is loaded into the crusher, which begins a sequence of furious struggling sequences lasting until her eventual rescue at 44-45mins. |
