| Title: The Doll Squad (1973) Medium: Movie Actress: Lisa Todd, Jean London, Francine York, Leigh Christian, Tura Satana Description: A forgettable movie about a team of babes who are to save the USA government from an evil-doer and his army. Sabrina (Francine York) gathers seven attractive girls with all different kinds of skills to go after the bad guy. At the 35 minute mark, after Sabrina has captured Maria (Lisa Todd), the bad guy's girlfriend, you see Maria standing with her wrists cuffed in front of her. She is in a hypnotic trance and tells the team where Kim Luval (Jean London) is being held captive. The team then goes to the location indicated by Maria, taking Maria along. Sabrina and another sneak in through the window of Kim's room, pull off the blanket covering her, and untie her wrists (which were bound behind her back) and ankles. After getting Kim out, they put Maria, still in a trance, on the bed, wrists tied behind her back and ankles bound, then cover her with a blanket. At approximately the 55 minute mark four of the girls: Sabrina, Kim, Sharon (Leigh Christian) and Lavella (Tura Satana) are trapped by the bad guys. Sabrina is chained standing to the wall, her arms spread apart, her wrists secured with iron manacles. The other three girls Kim (red hair), Sharon (blonde) and Lavella (black hair) are handcuffed to a metal frame with her wrists about the level of their heads. They are all dress in one-piece green tight catsuits with a lateral white trim. Kim protests to the guard and she gets butted with a rifle. Sabrina is released from her irons by a guard to be taken for interrogation, As they exit the building the other members of the squad are there for the rescue. At the 1:10 minute mark we see Sabrina releasing Sharon and Lavella. However a guard comes in and shoots dead little Kim. She is left hanging by her handcuffs (talk about team spirit from Sabrina!). And just to rub things in, the same scene is shown in the credits at 1:30 when crediting Jean. |
