Not sure where to post this I have MANY hours of video DiD on VHS format. Collected from many sources like DVD, VHS, TV (AMC, TCM, etc)each collection was dubbed onto its own VHS tape. You will require a hardware 'demacrovision' unit placed between the VHS unit and DVD. We use one from SimaCorp but I believe they're being sued over this and have withdrawn it from the market. Other possible solutions: 1) Capture your VHS video to your computer with a video capture card (google and download software fix to remove 'macrovision' protection) 2) The macrovision protection is actually generated by your VHS machine. If you can find an old pre-1982 machine - they don't generate the copy-protection signal and should transfer with no problem. 3) Search the following sites for other information: http://www.doom9.org http://www.afterdawn.com http://www.videohelp.com |
