| The trailer for Gillian's upcoming new Slasher film has just hit. No indicator of anything DID-wise for her or anyone else but given the premise there could certainly be something. Been wondering if there's been any indication of possible scenes from the early reviews. |

| No joke sadly. Trailer confirms the kidnapping plot scenario. Enola will be the all-action hero who saves the day. After her role in the film "Damsel", I'm starting to think Millie actively chooses roles that subvert tropes such as "ours", and turns them on their heads. Yay Millie. Shame though as she never looks more beautiful than she does when she plays Enola. Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised by a scene for her, who knows? |

Under the Gaslight is the first documented story with a "damsel in distress". When a former Civil War soldier is tied to the tracks and his impending doom has been planned by the baddie until the female her rescues him. It came out in 1867. Holmes takes place in the 1880's so the more modern 1950's conversion of the man in distress to woman wouldn't have happened yet. |
