| Sunday May 10 09:54:31 2026 Verity potential scene |
| On page 199 of this book, there is character - bound and gagged with tape in the back of a car. The book is written in first person and I have not read it fully, so not sure who it is. But based on context clues and the trailer for the film adaptation - it looks like it could be Anne Hathaway's character in the film. In the trailer, there is a shot of a body being thrown in the river - could be the same scene adapted differently in the film - which would be a shame. But something to look forward to in October i guess. https://pdfdrive.com.co/wp-content/pdfh/Verity-By-Colleen-Hoover.pdf |

The book is > written in first person Spoilers for the book- From the chapter i read, in which the scene occurs, Verity is attacked by her husband after he thinks she is trying to frame him for a child's death. When she wakes up in her car, she is bound and gagged with tape. The scene reads as she wanted to explain to him that she wasn't intending on framing him - but she "couldn't talk". As per her manuscript, her character unalives herself by crashing her car into a tree. This is what her husband is trying to do to her to make it look like a suicide. In the next scene, per the book, she is already in the passenger seat unbound and the car is already in motion and it crashes, as planned. Coming to the movie - Fortunately, there is a shot in the trailer of Josh Harnett's character standing behind a car running into the woods. So the scene is surely there in the film. Her being gagged is also pivotal to the scene - as she wanted to explain her intention. So unless they just decide to keep her passed out in the scene, we may surely get a bound and gagged Anne Hathaway finally this year!! |
