Friday November 18 16:14:37 2005 [7607] Frontier Rangers (1959) |
Having just had the pleasure of catching this gem of a scene on Turner Classics, I thought I should add something to the DB entry.
[1] IMDb informs that the Indian maiden 'Natula' is definitely Lisa Gaye, so the Actress no longer need be 'unknown'. [2] Our Lisa is a real spitfire and a real looker. She sports a charmingly stereotypical buckskin outfit complete with a very short skirt. Her scene lasts about 4 minutes and includes her capture as she thrashes about in the river, her binding, and two carryings. Gag Snobs will have to go elsewhere, but it's delightful stuff. I didn't get the exact time, but I'm thinking that the scene pops up about 25 minutes in [no ads]. |

There is also a lot of mphhing by this cute damsel and also some close-ups of her gagged face. We can see her breathing through her gag in some moment. |

Jay:
Lisa actually gets carried 3 times, all briefly, but certainly worth the price of admission, as it were. Each time, the method is the old tried and true under-the-knees-and-behind-the-shoulders. First, just after her capture and before she's bound by the Rogers Rangers types, they lift her kicking and thrashing self out the river. Second, about a minute later and after she's bound hand and foot, Maj. Rogers lifts her up and sets her down in a canoe. Third, in her final scene, she winds up in the river again after her canoe overturns. She's rescued by a fellow Algonquin, and is carried away while still bound. |
