I work with legal description and have this same issue with degree symbols. I have to save to a different format or version cause it shows differently when i send to clients. Just save it as a plain txt file and copy/paste from there. Should work with ', but i had to edit the degree symbol there and client believed I fixed my "error". I'm using an older version of Word, which may be way the problem doesn't seem to be more widespread. Since I know what to look for now, I can see if the tips help or if I need to just type them up in a different editor. |

I've had similar problems with databases at work and always copy and pasted to txt, then back to clean up similar issues. Never occurred to me it would be a problem here. Can't lose those damsels to formatting! |
