Title: Obra maestra (2000) aka Masterpiece Medium: Movie Actress: Ariadna Gil Description: This Spanish dark comedy is a real bondage-fest. Two would-be filmmakers (complete with 8mm camera!), try to enlist a top movie star for their project - the story of a paraplegic girl. When the actres, Amanda Castro (Gil) refuses their every entreaty they simply abduct her. From about the twenty-minute mark for the greater part of the rest of the movie Amanda is variously tape-tied, tape-gagged, handcuffed to a bed, bound with leather straps to a bed, handcuffed to a wheelchair while she plays her role, cuffed around the ankles, you-name-it. Even near the end has a cloth stuffed into her mouth (always a weak idea but then there is so much else it doesn't matter much). The filming continues in spite of the actress' constant protests - and attempts to escape. |
