Most of the time I'm seeing a year alongside movies, which helps a lot for search purposes outside of the site (eg. to find videos of it or cross-check IMDb). TV series I can understand not including the year, seeing as they often span multiple years. |

No. I mean, if people want to put that in when they make the entry that's up to them, but we're not spending editor time chasing all of those down when they aren't needed.
