| Record number: 6592 Title: Mata Hari (1931) Medium: Movie Actress: Greta Garbo Description: She's arrested, and the cop ties her wrists behind her back. Perhaps the only bondage scene with this famous actress. Not unless Turner Classic Movies is showing a version of this movie in which the above has been edited out. Garbo gets into a taxi and finds herself sitting next to the pursuing detective, who calmly informs her he has a warrant for her arrest. The camera then immediately cuts to the courtroom where her trial is under way. There's no female bondage at all in this movie, not even at the end because the execution isn't shown at all. There is, however, a scene at the beginning where several male spies are shot, and the detective makes a comment afterward to the effect that he hopes to see Mata Hari tied to one of the posts soon. Let me guess. Someone saw a still or poster depicting what he or she described above and pulled another Bringing Up Baby, right? |

| Japanese movie about Kunisada a pervert who escapes from prison and finds his ex-wife Akiko (Naomi Tami ) and decides to kidnap her. At minute 5:30 he inserts a tight ring in her forefinger. The ring has a chain and he pulls her to his car. He takes her to a remote cabin in the woods where he will torture her into submission. At minute 11:00 he ties her wrists in front with cloth and rapes her. She is afterwards seen tied with hem rope, her arms behind, shibari style. She has to eat from containers in the floor while bound, a rope holds her secure to a post. At minute 15:00 she begs to go to the bathroom. Kunisada forces her to relief while bound as he watches, which is highly humiliating to Akiko. Seemingly held for days she is then seen bathing only with a rope around her neck which she manages to cut with a sharp object. He cuts Kunisada’s face and attempts her escape to no avail. He punishes her by tying her severely with a rope gag and rope around her head forcing her head backwards in a hogtie. As he unties her on camera, we see that it was a single length of rope around her chest, her head and over her mouth. At minute 21:00 he uses a broad bamboo road tying her legs and wrists apart to the rod. He hoists the rod upwards exposing her and proceeds to drip melting wax from a candle. At minute 23:00 she is left alone while he goes to town. She is naked tied again with her arms behind and cleaved gagged with cloth. Many loops of rope adorn her body around her chest and abdomen and crotch. She manages to cut her wrists free against a sharp rock. She escapes still with the intricate ropes around her body. Two creeps find her in the forest but instead of helping her, they rape her. Kunisada finds her passed out and takes her back. At minute 31:00 Akiko is suspended, with her arms behind, in her old wedding gown. He spreads her legs apart with rope tied to her thigh and rapes her once more.
The story takes a twist when Kunisada finds a young couple who seemingly made a suicidal pact. They are drugged, asleep. Kunisada rapes Kaoru (Terumi Azuma) and takes her to his cabin. At minute 42:00 we see him applying a crotch rope on camera, she is wearing white panties, her wrists are tied in front held by rope around her body. Kiyoshi, the boyfriend, finds them but Kunisada quickly subdues him and ties him up. He then proceeds to torture and humiliate Kaoru in front of him. Kaoru is seen at minute 45:00 standing, her body bent over in white panties, with rope to the ceiling, her arms behind, with a bamboo rod behind her knees forcing her legs apart. Kunisada gives her an enema in that position. Akiko who has been watching also tied up against a pole is then untied and forced to hold a bag to collect Kaoru’s intestinal contents. By now Akiko has gone berserk and she goes to have sex with the tied boyfriend. Akiko is now a totally submissive slave. At minute 57:00 she is bound outdoors over rocks, spreadeagled with long bamboo sticks holding her arms and ankles apart, with bare breasts. She begs to be whipped and Kunisada indulges.. We return to the cabin where Kiyoshi and Kaoru are tied together standing with their necks in a stock made of bamboo, their arms tied behind and holding a heavy weight between the legs so when one moves the other hurts. They end up hating each other to Kunisada’s satisfaction. Once he has complete control of them he lets Kiyoshi leave with Kaoru who is tied with her arms behind. Akiko now seems proud and happy with her bondage, begging to be retied. In one of their outings to the woods they find the young couple dead. Kiyoshi and Kaoru tied themselves naked together, with the girl on top and strangled each other with rope around their necks. The camera pans to show the several loops of rope around legs, buttocks and trunk. At the end of the movie police finds them. Akiko is naked, bound in the floor, with red rope around her legs, thighs and body with her arms behind. She asks the policemen not to be untied. |
