| There is another scene, shortly after Hayslip is released from the prison (via a bribe to a local official). The VC come to her village one night and also take her away with her hands tied behind her with rope, suspicious that she betrayed them in order to get released. They take her into the jungle, show her a grave which they say is hers, and cuff her about. As a parting shot, the leader throws her to the ground, partially strips her, and has his way with her, warning her that he will really kill her if she tells. She is not gagged at any time. |
