I really like this scene - thanks to both. But just had a technical question. This Hannibal Lecter mask just keeps the mouth/jaw shut and prevents from biting? I assume nothing goes into the mouth (ball or otherwise) to quiet her? So essentially just asks as a tight OTM mask? Thanks. (Retrieved from the error log - The Engineer) |

In this, she doesn't have any lines until the mask is taken off, so its hard to tell what the director's intent was (Shakespeare obviously didn't specify the face mask and hand truck). In other cases, Hayden Panetierre mmmpphed like crazy through hers, even though her lips were clearly visible through the mouth opening, and there was nothing to stop her from talking, and I can't remember if Lea Michele talks through hers. For the original, the mask was designed to keep Hannibal the cannibal from biting anybody - not to keep him quiet. |
