Romanian beauty Stratan is first shown hogtied via BSDM gear and bit gagged (which she wears really well imo). (1962) Medium: Movie Actress: Joan Crawford Description: Blanche (Crawford), who is crippled and living in the same house as her mentally unstable sister Baby Jane (Bette Davis), tries to reach the outside world by calling their family doctor for help at 1hr 28-31mins. Enraged by this, Bette viciously kicks her into unconsciousness on the floor. She then drags Blanche upstairs by her arms. At 1hr 38-39mins, housecleaner Elvira (Maidie Norman) is shocked to discover Blanche in the bedroom; she is lying on the bed, hands tied overhead to a stirrup with white rope, feet unbound (being part of her disability), and gagged with a strip of white tape. Elvira goes to help her, but fails to take heed of Blanche's frantic mmpphhing: sneaking up from behind, Bette kills her off-camera with a hammer to the head. Blanche is later shown briefly at 1hr 47mins, in darkness, while the phone rings. Cue a long sequence at 1hr 50-54mins, during which Bette pays her visit. She ungags Blanche onscreen by peeling the tape back so that it remains stuck to one cheek, then goes off on a long and crazy monologue about stuff that happened in their childhood (Jane seemingly caused her to be crippled after a car crash, some 30yrs ago). At the end of the sequence, police come calling. This prompts Jane to re-tape Blanche's mouth onscreen and go downstairs to answer the door. From hereon until 2hrs 1min, we see Blanche (having managed to ungag herself offscreen) struggling to reach for a table lamp in order to attract the attention of an unwanted house guest moseying around downstairs. In a drunken stupor, he eventually stumbles upon Blanche, but is utterly clueless on how to react. He simply runs out of the house in confusion. The scene essentially ends when Jane unties Blanche onscreen, drags her out of the bedroom and onto her wheelchair, then drives her to the beach. All in all a very slow-paced, nutty scene featuring many vivid close-ups. All times based on the Blu-ray release. Their hands are all tied with green rope; some behind their backs, some in front, others with arms overhead, sitting, standing, and at least one has her feet tied. They are also each cleave gagged with a thick white cloth. Lots of helpless mmpphhing and some squirming. Title character Millie (Andrews), in search of her missing friend Dorothy (Moore), comes upon the fireworks warehouse where the women are being held. In the chaos that follows her setting off the fireworks, she frees and ungags one woman standing with her hands tied around a bar in front of her cage, then another sitting on a bed with her hands tied overhead. Neither Millie nor Dorothy get proper scenes, although each do get at least something of note. At 31mins, Millie places a pencil between her teeth and does a swingin' dance around her office, for one of those "faux gag" moments. In the middle of the multi-damsel sequences, at 2hrs 7mins, Dorothy makes an emergency phone call from the adjacent opium den, only to be surprised from behind and briefly handgagged. Right at the start of the film, at 2mins, the criminal ringleader Mrs. Meers (Beatrice Lillie) sneaks up behind one of the girls and chloroforms her with a white cloth. When next seen, she's seated on the floor in an empty room with her hands tied behind her back and her ankles tied with rope. Her mouth is sealed with a short strip of gray tape, very sticky on the face. Female partner of bad guy ungags Messing and the male captor then taunts her for a couple minutes. He then handgags her hard, with Messing's eyes spreading wide open on an extreme closeup. He then turns to female partner and says "I think I liked her better with her mouth shut." At that point, female re-tapes Messing's mouth on an extreme closeup. When scene resumes a few minutes later, Messing's partner is brought into the room. We see two more closeups of Messing gagged before she's ungagged by partner. When finally ungagged, Messing glares at her captors with a nice damsel-in-distress look. Scene ends around 30 minutes in. She then waits along with him for Mac to call, and after speaking to him is surprised as he sweeps in behind her and cleave gags her onscreen with a white hanky at about 72' in. After another commercial break she's shown, now alone, seated in a wicker chair, her wrists bound behind it and ankles tied together. She hops the chair over to the phone, picks up the receiver with her mouth, dials with a pencil held between her teeth, and tries to convince the operator through the snug cleave that hers is an emergency situation, to no avail. Cue lots of frustrated gag-talk, which turns to anger by the time Mildred arrives home and frees her. The sequence ends around 80' in. She's wearing loafers, bellbottoms, and a unbuttoned shirt over a T, with her hair up. Right at the beginning, Monica (Baltay) is shown lying on a bed, hands tied upper spreadeagle to the headboard with black rope, bare feet tied together, and gagged with a wide strip of duct tape. She is also naked, but the paint all over body disguises this. Lots of squirming and mmpphhing, until another strip of tape is pressed over her nose to suffocate her to death. Near the end of the film, at 1hr 24-27mins, Abbey (Pacula) also falls victim to the killer. She has just come out of the shower in her white bathrobe and is busy combing her hair, when the killer surprises her from behind by gagging her with a wide strip of duct tape. After a gutsy struggle, she is knocked out. We next see her bound and gagged to her bed the same way as Monica, but entirely with duct tape instead, and her bathrobe now opened to expose her white camisole and tap pants. Excellent, constant mmpphhing and emoting from her. The killer once again blocks her nose with tape, but this time Abbey's beau saves her just in time. Times based on the VHS release. Lighting is quite dark in Monica's scene, but well-lit in Abbey's. Plenty of close-ups and full-body views in both. Record number: 24090 Title: Days of Our Lives (2019) Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Victoria Konefal Description: Episode: 2019-Jan-31 2019-Feb-08 February 2019 episodes...Ciara Brady is missing. Her police commissioner mom Hope is worried and calls her cell over and over, trying to reach Ciara. Next scene,in an old cabin, the camera pans from a cell phone on a table over to a bed, where pretty brunette Ciara is being held captive. A gloved hand is shown tightening rope around Ciara's wrist, she is tied, both arms spread apart to the bedposts, blindfolded with a wide black cloth, and cleave gagged with a thick black cloth. Ciara is scared and struggles, trying to get free. She wears a button up sweater top and blue pants. Scenes of Ciara in captivity continue over the next few episodes, with some good close ups of Ciara's gagged and blindfolded face. Eventually the gag and blindfold are removed to reveal her kidnapper - her boyfriend's sister! She has kidnapped Ciara to keep her “safe “ from her criminal brother. Ciara is shown several more times tied but not gagged, trying to reason with the unstable kidnapper, who decides that Ciara must die rather than end up with her brother. The kidnapper sets fire to the cabin and leaves Ciara tied to the bedposts - she struggles as smoke fills the cabin - luckily, Ciara is rescued just in the nick of time. |

She gets a lot of screen time here, many productions Hope is hidden behind the other cast members or placed off to one side of the stage. Seems to be the right amount of time, about 1/2 way to 3/4 through Act II. Hopping around in heels and has some trouble with the black cleave removal in Thursday production. Thanks for sharing. |
