| there was a tv series about the vine swinging jungle man in the 90s with Jane being played by Lydie Denier. In one ep, she ran afoul of elephant poachers and later was taken to a makeshift wooden platform near deep water. She was tied hand and foot with rope around her chest. She was left dangling over the water with a weight tied to her feet to pull her down below the water and a rope keeping her suspended slowly being burned by a blowtorch. The rope burned through and she sank, but the ape man himself dove in, cut the weight off her feet and saved her (naturally) |
