This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

Also try keepvid.com; also works for other sites that features trailers and such when you retrieve the direct file folder URL from the source code. That is, when the code isn't protected. I've noticed the absence of being able to download youtube videos as well, but it hasn't necessarily kept me from keeping what I want. Instead of using site like the one you mentioned and the ever popular http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php to download the vids, I now look in my temp folder and retrieve the youtube videos that way. It's a painstaking process as none of the files are labeld in a way that gives me any indicatino as to what they are. Then, after I copying the files to my video folder and converting with Super to to a viewable format the resulting video is no longer in sync with the audio. And so it sort of plays like sotp motion video. The video stops every few seconds while the audio plays just fine. It's certainly not the way I'd like them to play but if your desperate enough to keep a vid seen on youtube it is possible. It just takes a bit of patience, some software and a bit of tollerance for an imperfect video file. |

I’ve been trying to download videos from youtube. You guys really need to try the latest version of real player. You won't have any of the problems. If it's installed into you current windows configuration, a small 'realplayer' box apears in the upper right hand corner of any flash video on your screen, with a download icon. Simply just run your curser and click. 'no blocks' everything will download. No more copy and paste. It works better than any other site you've mentioned, believe me, I've tried them all. It works for Youtube, revver, dailymotion, Myspace, you name it. |

Here's a link to a not-so-good quality clip of the scene in Untraceable. The file Size is pretty big, but maybe someone can edit it, and cut it down a bit. |

If it's installed into you current windows configuration, What? What do you mean instal it into my Windows Configuration? Forigve my igorance but is that different then just clicking "run" or "Save As" to my desktop when installing programs? Cause I can tell you right now, my Real Player doesn't appear on the screen when ever I watch Youtube or Myspace videos. Don't think I understand what it is you do. If you could please explain further that'd be great. I'd love to try out your idea. |

When you put your cursor over the video, a small text box shows up with "download this video", usually in the upper right hand corner of the video. However, it may not necessarily be the newest version of RealPlayer that allows this. My laptop runs Windows Vista and the RealPlayer download works, but my PC runs Windows XP and the pop up doesn't appear. That being said, I'm not 100% sure I have the latest RealPlayer on my PC. |
