Really don't know how we could get our hands on this, except in film clubs or public/professional film history and archives bodies (MPAA, BFI, French Cinémathèque, etc...). Will see if it's available for streaming at the Cinémathèque. |

Seitz' "Perils of Pauline" 1914 serial are available online, containing several scenes, most listed in the database. The essence of classic old DID here. She finds herself in a basement, tied to a chair (hands behind back, feet tied), cleave-gagged and guarded. At one point she's ungagged by one of her abductors for interrogation purposes. The next time we see her she's gagged again & rescued by the good guys after only a few seconds. Hey, if anybody has this scene, please, make yourself known. Would love to see it. Thanks. |

She gets kidnapped while swimming, then tied up on a mattress on the floor, she gets sick from being wet and cold. The captor guy helps her get well, and gives her change of clothing. She scoots across floor and tries to use her cell phone while bound but gets stopped. Retied, escape that you see here, tied up again and then there is a ransome exchange with the BF in the woods. I can upload it to sendspace if you want. |
