Record number: 7198 Title: The Fantasticks (1995) Medium: Movie Actress: Jean Louisa Kelly Description: As Luisa in this rather disappointing film version (so disappointing,in fact, that it was shelved until 2000) of the musical that ran off-Broadway for four decades, she spends a couple of minutes strapped in a standing spreadeagle to a rotating wheel, while a clown-garbed thespian (played by magician Teller of Penn and Teller fame) tries his hand at knife-throwing. Although ungagged, she really is strapped to the wheel, as evidenced by a close-up shot of one of her wrists being unfastened afterward. The sequence starts about 40 minutes in. |
