The prospective buyers insist on inspecting the basement, and discover her. Dad (Richard Pryor) covers by telling them it's a school project on "sensory deprivation". If looks could kill . . . . The scene occurs about 20' in, sans commercials, and popped around the 37' mark in a COMEDY CENTRAL airing. It lasts less than a minute. |

Record number: 889 Title: Motel Hell (1980) Medium: Movie Actress: Elaine Joyce, Nina Axelrod Description: About midway through the film, Joyce's character and her boyfriend show up at the title location, mistaking it for a kinky swinger's joint. When the baddies who own it walk in on the couple bearing ropes and masks attached to gas cylinders, the couple invites them to tie them up and give them a shot of the gas. The lead baddie (Rory Calhoun) makes a spectacle of hogtying Joyce, then he and his partner render both her and her boyfriend unconscious with the gas. Near the movie's end, Axelrod falls into Calhoun's clutches, and is tied semiconscious to a conveyor in front of a meat slicer. Soon after the famous climactic chain-saw duel between Calhoun and Axelrod's boyfriend begins, the switch starting the machine is accidentally thrown, and the rest of the fight is intercut with scenes of Axelrod, now awake, screaming and struggling as she inches toward the slicer. |

Record number: 286 Title: Three Days Of The Condor (1975) Medium: Movie Actress: Faye Dunaway Description: Tied up for a while and briefly gagged, in the middle half of the movie, with several pairs of stockings. Versions of the film usually aired on British TV are the same, but the first cut I ever saw (also on TV) had a scene in which Redford started by saying, "I need your car." He proceeded to tie her up against her protestations, and just before he gagged her, she said, "This is not fair!" There were several almost-closeups of her face being gagged and struggling as Redford left. The order of scenes is also changed in subsequent versions; the original sequence made the narrative much clearer. |
