At the beginning of the movie, Mary (Alyson) and her young daughter Beth (Hoskins) are kidnapped while out shopping. At 10min they are shown being taken out of a van with their wrists taped in front of them, and blindfolded. They are taken into a house and locked in a room. At 14min Mary is taped to a chair for a videotaped interrogation. Her wrists are taped to the armrests and her ankles to the chair legs. She is wearing an ugly yellow blouse and yellow plaid pants. The scene cuts away for awhile, but comes back at 29min for more conversation. At 62min there is another interrogation with Mary taped to the chair, but at least she is changed to a more attractive red dress.
