| David, I would try copying images from a site that displays the image clearly. I'd suggest trying Mr. Raffish's site or Anubis's site if you want to practice copying images. HTF while a great site uses frames which will muck everything up when trying to copy links or caps from the pages if you aren't familiar with HTML. Second I would suggest getting Firefox browser. It is much easier to copy images with than IE. Firefox has under it's Tools menu a Page Info command that will display all sorts of info about a webpage. Go to the Media tab and it will display all the image links on the page. Simply find the one you want to copy and copy/past the url into a browser window or tab (as Brian's FAQ's suggest) to see if it works. This has the added benefit of getting around sites that disable the right click feature. If your image link doesn't work in the browser window it won't work in the Image box at Brian's page either. That's a good test to see if you are on the right track or not. Do the browser test first to verify your image appears as you intend. I'd reccomend you keep trying that method until you are comfortable with the process. It may take several tries but you should get the hang of it after a while. |
